Wheat Harvest, Finally Done

It got off to a slow start. Lots of hot days followed by rain. Even with all the moisture this year the crop was poor to mediocre. The late snows and freezes in May(!) did a lot of damage and set everything back.

Headed off to the field

For driving lessons

Before taking a try herself

And making driving very difficult

This was their best field

Few weeds

Thick wheat

This one not so much

Done with this field

A beautiful sunset to close the day

Ready to drive home

Children learn to drive much younger out here

Coming in to dump

I do seem to like mirror pictures

And clouds

There’s a child in there if you look very close

All the big kids had found the best place to play

So her loving father helped her get in too
